Red, White and Blue

Greetings Blogger Friends,


I've been cruising creative blogland and found some challenges I wanted to play along with.  This one is over at "Mark's Finest Papers" where you'll find Challenge #62 by Geri.  


This week's challenge is brought to you by Geri.  She challenges everyone to show your pride and make it Patriotic!!! For those of you who are not from America, please help us celebrate our Independence day by creating a red white and blue card.  Here's to the good ole' USA! 

Something about the 4th of July and all the patriotic colors just delights me and I love creating around that theme.  So here's a card I made for Geri's challenge #62.


The products I used for this card were Pure Luxury White and In the Navy CS by GKD.  CuttleBug Stars EF, Vivid Cobblestone, Memento Danube Blue and Distress Ink Firebrick Inks.  And the stamp set is from  Mark's Finest Papers called "Welcome Home".  I did some stitching around the flag layer for a "homey" effect.  Odd to be using a Christmas stamp for this card, but it worked well I thought.

    I love the card! the 4th of July is also my birthday! There's nothing wrong with using seasonal stamps on projects that aren't for that holiday if it suits the purpose!
