GC070411 You've Come a Long Way Baby!

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July and Canada Day - it was a gorgeous day here in Maine and that alone was worth celebrating!  It continues today....wow, 2 gorgeous days in a row!

My dear friend Carolyn is retiring - we've worked together for over 10 years and I will miss her so much at our workplace, however the good news is she only lives a few miles away from me, so we'll be seeing each other frequently.

I was asked to make a card for Carolyn for the office group to sign, so I decided to make a 5" square card. I don't often make this size card, but thought it would be better since there would be a lot of signatures and notes written for her inside the card.

For the base of this card I used GKD Pure Luxury White CS.  The dp is the fabulous new Graphic45 paper from the "The Magic of OZ" collection.  The stamp is from the StampTV Kit "Vintage Chic".  Other details:  MS punch, seambinding, Copic Markers, black pearls.  See the garter....several weeks ago, Carolyn gave me an old tin full of antique buttons that were from her grandmother - I found that in the tin and used it on her card.  LOL.

I'm entering this card in the Outlawz "Anything Goes" Greeting Card Challenge.

I hope your day is full of fun.
Thanks for stopping by,

Cheri

  2. This is such a nice card. This is not over decorated, nor too simple. Just enough.
