StampTV Alumni CSS DT Sketch Blog Hop

WELCOME to another StampTV Center Stage Spotlight Design Team blog hop.  Today we're featuring a fabulous sketch designed by our own talented Melissa Cash.

If you've arrived here from the yummy cupcake blog of the sweet and extremely talented Carolina then you're in the right place.  If not, you're invited to start HERE at the beginning and see each and every hop in order - you really don't want to miss any of these great hop spots and inspirational projects.

When you hop, make sure to leave a comment on each post  because on Tuesday morning (March 29th), we will randomly choose one of the comments from all the blogs to win a FREE Gina K stamp set of their choice valued up to $24.95!  It could be YOU - so leave us some love and good luck!

Also, please join in with us - create your own card using this sketch and post it HERE on the forum so we can enjoy your art too.  We love it when the StampTV membership plays along with us.

Here is Melissa's sketch

Here is my card.

Card Stock - GKD Pure Luxury Ivory, Creme de Menthe and Green Apple.
Stamp Set - "Hope Grows" by Theresa Momber
Inks - For the background on the tile Brilliance "Pearlescent Ivy" and "Pearlescent Lime". For the butterfly Tim Holtz Distress Inks "Peeled Paint", "Dried Marigold", "Victorian Velvet" and a touch of "Mustard Seed".
Techniques - Emboss Resist and Delft Tile
Other - MS punch, wrinkled seam binding, embellishment from stash and Liquid Pearls "White Opal" by Ranger.

The background is a new technique I wanted to try called "Delft Tile" and you can find the tutorial for it over at SCS.  As you can see, not only did I switch the sketch, I took even more artistic license and switched the blue color that you would expect to see in a Delft Tile to green. (my apologies to my Dutch friends)

Thank you for stopping by - don't forget to leave a comment and you might win one of Gina's fabulous stamp sets.  Now, please hop on over to Deb's blog, she's always got something fabulous to show us.

Have a great weekend,
Cheri
